Tashichho Dzong in Thimphu – ‘s largest fortress and one of its most important religious monuments. It is a stunning building with immense walls, white-washed towers and elegant courtyards filled with prayer flags.

Tashichho Dzong’s best time to visit is during the annual festival in December or January. During this time you can witness colorful traditional dances, music performances and other festivities that happen right in front of the impressive dzong.
