Sudan is a place full of amazing and unique food. As I explored the city, I had the opportunity to try some local dishes that I will never forget.

The first thing I tried was ful medames – it’s a popular breakfast dish made from mashed fava beans mixed with oil, garlic, cumin and other spices. It has been eaten in Sudan for centuries as part of their traditional cuisine. When served hot it was simply delicious!
