Armenia is a beautiful place with a rich culture and cuisine. As I strolled the city streets, I was struck by the inviting aromas of fresh-baked lavash wafting through the air. Lavash is an Armenian flatbread that’s traditionally baked in tandoor ovens lined with hot stones. It has a chewy texture and slightly yeasty flavor due to its leavened dough.
