Ethiopia is an amazing place full of culture and history. It’s also a great place to sample some delicious local food. For anyone visiting Ethiopia, the first thing they should try is injera, a large spongy flatbread made from fermented teff flour that serves as the backbone for any meal. When eating injera it’s customary to tear off pieces with your hands and scoop up stews or vegetables on top of it.
